Our Mission
To foster local initiatives of sustainable agricultural production, while conserving the natural environment and improving the health and wellbeing of community members.
Concerted effort towards sustenance, self-esteem and freedom.
Through concerted efforts, we promote values such as sustenance, self-esteem and freedom. To achieve this, we valorise indigenous knowledge, resources and experiences.
RTC hopes to bring all persons — irrespective of age, sex, religion or other socio-cultural affiliations — to contribute positively to the growth of their communities, and to live in harmony with themselves and with nature, to the best of their potential.
An equitable, sustainable future
We look forward to an equitable, socially, environmentally and economically sustainable development — where rural families are self-reliant and the environment that sustains them is protected for generations to come.
Three values at the heart of everything.
Sustenance
Meeting the basic needs of rural families through sustainable, locally-driven production.
Self-esteem
Valorising indigenous knowledge, resources and experience so communities lead their own development.
Freedom
Empowering the underprivileged — especially women and youths — to live in dignity and to their fullest potential.
Farmers, women and youths
More than 80% of Bui Division's active population is engaged in agriculture, with women making up the greater share. We design farmer-led workshops that directly address their needs while tackling food security and food sovereignty.
Youths — our future leaders — are equipped with skills, ICT literacy and an understanding of good governance, fostering creativity using materials found in their own locality.
Committed, even through crisis.
The socio-political crisis in Cameroon's English-speaking regions affected our activities, yet our staff and volunteers remained resolute. We continued to raise living standards — building deep wells and water tanks, promoting WASH in schools, supporting women's farming groups with tools, and developing the huckleberry value chain.
